Travel Bucket List

Travel Bucket List - Just Murrayed
I had every intention of writing a different post but I’ve had travel on the brain lately and I always love hearing where people want to visit and why so I decided to do my own list. I’ve been to a few places but I’m definitely not a world traveller. I’ve been to quite a few states in the U.S., Quebec, Bahamas, Aruba, Mexico.

Everyone has a different reason for why they want to go to different places and some people don’t care what the country has to offer, they just like to travel. For me though, I’m an anxious traveller coupled with the whole gluten-free thing so in order to get me on a plane the country has to offer one of three things: 1. Good safe food, that I’ve never experienced before. 2. Animals, that I’ve never really experienced before 3. Churches, I am an agnostic but I LOVE churches, it’s history of the people – all in one place.

So without further ado, here’s my list!

Costa Rica
My aunt and uncle went to Costa Rica when I was young and I was SO mesmerized by the stories of animals that surrounded them. Capuchins, toucans and scorpions surrounded them while they explored the rainforests everyday. I honestly have no idea what else Costa Rica has to offer, but I need to go there if there’s even a slim chance that I will see some monkeys up close.

England
Up until very recently, I had NO desire to go to Europe, not even a single country got me excited. Which seems to go against EVERYONE it seems, but I’ve tasted fish and chips, pizza and croissants so, like there was zero desire, until I realized that even though it doesn’t have two of my main reasons to travel there is one reason to go there and that’s for all the beautiful churches. After I got a bit excited about England, I did some googling and there are some other VERY cool things to do in England, like the Jack the Ripper Tour and The British Library that is home to original manuscripts by Charlotte Bronte and Chaucer and MANY others. So, needless to say I’m excited to see England…one day…

Ireland
Ireland was the only place in Europe that I had a slim desire to go to until recently, mostly because I would LOVE to see the history of The Mister’s family. The Mister did a school placement for a summer in Ireland and visited so many places of his ancestors like the church that his grandparents got married in(although now I think it’s actually burned down), the county his grandparents grew up in and raised a few kids and even met some relatives he’d never met before. I would love to be able to see the history for myself, the beautiful churches, Trinity College Library and Kilmainham Gaol.

Wyoming
Mountains, bear and lakes, oh my! There are some of the most beautiful places in the entire world, in Wyoming. Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park just to name a few. Both national parks offer wildlife tours, that I HAVE to do. Also, Wyoming is home to the iconic Jackson Hole mountain that I have always wanted to ski.

Hawaiian Islands
I really need to visit all of the islands because they all seem to offer different but awesome things. I would love to hike a volcano, see the Jurassic Park scenery and eat all the unique foods that Hawaii has to offer like, SPAM!

I narrowed it down to my top 5 places that I MUST visit but there are a few more places I’d still LOVE to visit. In no particular order they are: Portland, Charleston, Colorado, Seattle, the Maritimes and Scotland.

So tell me, what’s on your travel bucket list? What should I add to my travel bucket list?

  1. Love your title picture!
I’ve been to Ireland and Wyoming- definitely places you should see. The Irish people are very kind and welcoming. We have relatives there, too.
I’d LOVE to see Seattle, England, and Hawaii someday soon!!

  2. I haven’t traveled a lot, unfortunately. The only international travel we’ve done was for our honeymoon cruise and it was a blast.

I’d also love to go to England, Ireland, and Hawaii! We looked at Hawaii for our honeymoon but it was too expensive at the time.

    1. Cruises are awesome! I bet they treated you like royalty since it was your honeymoon!

My bestie and I went on a cruise to Bahamas, and it was SO awesome. I’d love to go on an Alaskan cruise as well.
