How Technology Can Make Your Marriage Better

How Technology Can Make Your Marriage Better(1)

Fess up, how often do you have to be told by your spouse to put your phone down? Guilty as charged…It’s SO easy to say no to phones when you’re on a date night or talking with each other but what about all the good that comes from technology?

You can either embrace the technology that surrounds us and know when and how to use it so that it works for your marriage or you can be unintentional about it and let it become a huge problem in your relationship.

For The Mister and I, we use it to text each other throughout the day or share our calendar so that we know what each one of us is doing AND so we can schedule date nights frequently.

Here are some other awesome ways to positively impact your marriage with technology:

1. Share your day through pictures or texts.
2. Settles disputes(thank you Google!)
3. Netflix movie date nights.
4. FaceTime when your away.
5. Apps can keep you both in the know AND can spice up your marriage.
6. Shared calendar to keep track of date nights.

There is a lot you can do with the technology to enhance your relationship with your spouse. The key is the right balance. The right balance of technology use will be different for each couple, but as long as you’re on the same page, use it to your advantage!

So tell me, has technology impacted your marriage in a positive way? Any fun apps or unique ways you use technology to your advantage in your marriage?

  1. We don’t usually use our phones during lunch or dinner, although if K gets a business call he has to take it. We actually rarely text during the week (unless we’re trying to schedule a time for lunch), but when he’s away on business we text a lot and I send him photos of the dogs and we even Snap Chat! Haha!

    1. Ah yes, snapchat! That’s what all the cool kids are using these days. I can’t keep up with all the latest new cool things myself but I’ve heard it’s a great to have some fun with!

  2. I used to hate how often it seemed like my husband would be on his phone, however, now that I am trying my hand at blogging, I find myself constantly on my phone. The tables have turned! Lol.
