Winter Bucket List

Winter Bucket List
We may have only just reached the halfway point in autumn but that doesn’t mean I am not already thinking about my second favourite season of the year, WINTER! Winter is usually a VERY busy season for me since I work Monday-Friday and volunteer on Sundays, but I’m determined to enjoy winter to the MAX! I’m not sure I’ll complete all these activities but I’d love to try!

1. Visit Black Creek Pioneer Village
I’m sure that this would bore about 99% of people, but for the 1% of people like me, this sounds like an awesome day! They have a special events that go on during the Christmas season so I really want to finally visit Black Creek Pioneer Village.

2. Make a Christmas wreath
Every year I buy a new Christmas wreath for our apartment door, usually from the farmers market, but I decided that I wanted a different style and went to the local crafts store only to find out that they sell wreaths but it’ll cost you a kidney and all the money you have, so I’m going to try and make my own! We shall see!

3. Go tobogganing
I haven’t done this in years but we live near a huge hill that would be the perfect place to go tobogganing and I’m thinking it would be a LOT of fun and I know that The Mister will join me!

4. Make a Peppermint White Chocolate Hot Chocolate
I’ve made a regular hot chocolate but I’ve never really branched out since The Mister isn’t the biggest white chocolate fan, but honestly? I’m just craving one so I’m thinking I’m going to try it!

5. Check out the Cavalcade of Lights
The official start to the holiday season in Toronto is marked by the annual Cavalcade of Lights. It’s a 49-year old holiday tradition and I’ve never been even though I’ve lived in Toronto now for 4 Christmases! The event features the lighting of Toronto’s official Christmas tree, a fireworks presentation and music at Nathan Phillips Square.

So tell me, what’s on your winter bucket list? Do you enjoy winter, or not so much?

  1. Ooo love the idea of making a wreath. My winter bucket list is made up of all kinds of crafts. I’d like for my husband and I to go out and take some local pictures and turn them into Christmas cards. I’d also like to go sledging but snow is a bit hit and miss where we live so we shall see! Logistics to sing your hot choc recipe 🙂
